Nigeria:The 5th time U-17 World Cup Champion

   
A deserved victory for the Nigerian Golden Eaglets.

Nigeria enter the history books today as only the second country to retain the U17 World Cup courtesy of  2-0 victory of Mali in the final of the championship in Chile. 

Brazil were the first team to successfully defend this trophy – they won in 1997 and retained it in 1999.

     Victor Osimhen has also broken the record for most goals scored in a Fifa U17 World Cup final.

 His 10 goals have put him above Florent Sinama Pongolle and Souleymane of Cote d'Ivoire.

  •  And the Best Player fo the Tournament is Kelechi Nwakali who receives the Golden Ball.
  • Victor Osimhen gets the Silver Ball
  • Malle of Mali gets the Bronze Ball
  • The Golden Glove for best goalkeeper is handed to Samuel Diarra of Mali.
  • And the Golden Boot goes to none other than Victor Osimhen of Nigeria.
  • Silver boot goes to Johannes Eggestein of Germany
  • Bronze boot to Kelechi Nwakali of Nigeria
